Admission/Registration of Ph.D in Pune University 2015-2016

 

 

 The Savitribai Phule Pune University ( SPPU ) offers research programmes in different subjects listed in Statute No. 160 and in inter-disciplinary areas leading to the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy. 

 
   A candidate shall ordinarily work in a recognized place of research including the University Departments, Research Institutes and Affiliated Colleges recognized by the University. 

 

E-Application Procedure : 

1.	Read the Important Instructions.
2.	To apply for Ph.D. Admission, Applicant needs to register on website. Click on “Apply Online” Link of Home Page
3.	Register yourself with available username, and password; this username & password shall be emailed to you on registered email ID. It is essential for the candidate to remember username and Password for further transactions.
4.	After registration proceed to the online Ph.D. Admission Application by clicking on “Online Application Form” link.
5.	Fill the information in this form completely.
6.	Payment method available is direct cash deposition (at any branch of HDFC Bank Ltd. or Bank of Maharashtra)
8.	Online Challan will be generated after submission of application form. Applicant has to submit print out of this Challan at Cash Counter of any branch of “HDFC Bank” or “Bank of Maharashtra” and pay the cash.
9.	This Challan is divided into 3 sections. After receipt of payment, Bank shall give you 2 sections of Challan with Stamp of Bank. Applicant need to submit University Copy of Stamped Challan along with printed application to University of Pune
11.	Once your are done with data entry click submit button to proceed.
12.	If data entered is proper you will be redirected to the print preview page. This is Just Preview Page for your reference and checking for correction of entered information. Please do not take printout of this Preview page.
13.	Please check accuracy of filled information. To change filled information click on “Update” button.
14.	When information published in preview is correct, click on “Confirm and Print” to get print out of application form.
15.	Please Note that after Clicking on “Confirm and print” button you cannot update the form. University will receive your information only after clicking of “Confirm and Print”
16.	Print the system generated application form. This is the acknowledgement of online submission of Ph.D. Admission form. Please take 2 printouts and keep one for your reference.
17.	If your form is valid (with all details, attested enclosed documents, true eligibility criteria) then University Authority will approve your Application Form the status as of your Application Form will change to “Approved”.
18.	You can see your status by login to your account with the your registered Username and Password.
Procedure for submission of printout of application form:
1.	Arrange the Application form Printout, Challan & the required documents enlisted.
2.	Paste your passport size photograph on the space provided on the print of Application form.
3.	Sign exactly on the space provided for the signature on the printout of the Application Form.
6.	Submit all the documents by hand or By Post to the ASSISTANT REGISTRAR, P. G. Admission Section, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune - 411 007.
Once application is received online and on paper at department, it will be verified and processed by department.
